Following this headline in the Times and a subsequent story for the Yorkshire region in the Barnsley Chronicle a few days later it is clear there are tens of thousands of potential cases to follow on the issue of miners alleging their claims for Vibration White Finger were under settled.
Christine Sands, head of the Accident and Personal Injury department, represents a large number of West Yorkshire miners as well as miners from other coal fields, who allege their claims for services were under settled under the original Vibration White Finger Handling Agreement.
She states “of 170,000 miners who claimed compensation under the original Vibration White Finger Handling Agreement 109,000 were sufficiently injured to claim for an additional award called services. Only 42,000 did. The cases I am pursuing are instances where we allege the miner did not claim as a consequence of their original solicitor’s inadequate advice regarding the possibility of such a claim being successful.”
www.minerscompensationclaims.com will assist miners who may have a right to claim. The site is supported by a helpline 08000 839 736.
