This year Wakefield’s 3rd festival of reading and writing will take place between 18th and 30th September and Jordans are proud to be sponsoring the acclaimed Barnsley author, Joanne Harris MBE, whose work includes the award-winning novel Chocolat which was later turned into a highly successful film staring Johnny Depp.

At the event Joanne will be speaking about ‘The Gospel of Loki’. The novel is told in the first-person narrative of the rise and fall of the Norse gods – retold from the point of view of the world’s ultimate trickster, Loki. It tells the story of Loki’s recruitment from the underworld of Chaos, his many exploits on behalf of his one-eyed master, Odin, through to his eventual betrayal of the gods and the fall of Asgard itself.

The event will be held on Thursday 25th September, 8pm, at Westgate Chapel. To book your tickets please contact the Theatre Royal Box Office.
