Use our online service to prepare a Cohabitation Agreement.
Cohabitation Agreement – in England and Wales – £275
If you are not married or in a civil partnership but live with or plan to live with someone else you can enter into an agreement that sets out what will happen to your assets and income if you separate.
Unlike marriage there is no formal law which deals with financial matters if you separate. Provided that the Cohabitation Agreement satisfies certain legal requirements it should be binding and enforceable between you as a contract. Therefore each of you are advised to take independent legal advice about the contents of the agreement before signing it.
