Partnership disputes

If you are in business with one or more people and your business is not a Limited Company or a registered Limited Liability Partnership, you are most likely operating a Partnership.  A Partnership is an alternative business model to a simple sole trader and has the advantage of enabling you to pool skills and financial resources amongst like minded partners.  The Partnership may be governed by a written agreement known as a Partnership Deed or else by an unwritten agreement between the partners.

Disagreements may occur between partners, you may have differences of opinion about key strategic decisions which cannot be reconciled or one or more partners may wish to retire or break away to start their own business.  Perhaps you feel that you are being ousted from the business and not being allowed to contribute to the running of the business as you have done previously.  You may have serious concerns about a partners’ commitment to the Partnership, the time they are devoting to the Partnership business or even concerns that they are diverting business elsewhere.  Jordans Litigation Team can assist you to resolve your Partnership Dispute or advise you how to go about winding up a partnership which has now run its course.
