Jordans Solicitors are participating in the May ArtWalk.

The Depths of Distraction (2011)

The ArtWalk takes places every two months in Wakefield, allowing local artists the opportunity to showcase their work at a variety of venues around Wakefield.

Jordans Solicitors have proudly been a participating venue of the ArtWalk since 2008.

The next ArtWalk will take place on Wednesday 31st May 2017, and we will be showcasing the work of Wakefield artist Lora Caselli in the boardroom at our Wakefield office, from 5pm until 8pm. We will also have readings from the members of the Black Horse Poets at 6pm and 7pm.

Meet the Artists:

Lora Caselli

Lora Caselli is a self taught modern abstract painter. She has participated in a few local collective exhibitions and this will be her first solo exhibit. She has always lived and worked in Wakefield. Her paintings are mostly arcylic on canvas board featuring haunting nudes and eerie landscapes, as her web page Knot Art tagline reads ‘It’s a bit weird, it’s a bit dark but you just might like it’

“Movement, colour and visceral emotion are what influence to me to paint, I find it hard to label my work but to describe it I would have to say personal and passionate.”

She publishes her work on social media through Facebook  and gives progressive updates of her work on her Instagram .

Black Horse Poets

The Black Horse Poets celebrate poetry in Wakefield with regular meetings to share work. Members of the Black Horse Poets, Angie de Courcy Bower and Michael Yates, will be carrying out readings at 6pm and 7pm.

We look forward to welcoming guests to the exhibition on 31st May 2017. With art and poetry, this will be a packed event not to be missed!

More information about the upcoming event can be found at the ArtWalk website.
