The Southampton Magistrates Court today heard Bob Higgins plead not guilty to 65 counts of indecent assault between the dates of 1970 and 1996. The allegations relate to 23 boys under the age of 17.

Higgins has been given unconditional bail and is due to appear at the Winchester Crown Court on the 16th August 2017.

Higgins was a coach in the Southampton Junior team in the 1980’s and worked as a youth manager for Peterborough United’s youth team from May 1995 to April 1996. He also had his own soccer school and remained in football until the police investigation began last year, working with adults at Fleet Town.
