David Wesley, 65, of Cubbington, Leamington is a former school teacher who has been charged with sexually abusing four girls between the period of 1977 and 1992.

David Wesley is also facing further charges and attended at the Warwick Crown Court in December 2016 to answer twenty one charges. The allegations included indecent assault with girls under the age of 16 and 14 and the unlawful intercourse with a girl under the age of 13 years.

The allegations date back to when Wesley was a teacher at North Leamington School and a youth leader at Cubbington Methodist Church.

Martin Liddiard prosecuting said that the trial had been fixed to commence on the 30th October 2017 and has been given a time estimate of six weeks. Wesley has entered not guilty pleas.

Wesley has been granted conditional bail; he is not to contact witnesses and have unsupervised contact with any child under the age of 16 years.
