Hazelwood Children’s Home in Nottingham is under investigation in relation to historical sexual offences in the early 1980’s.

Michael Robinson, 63, of Sheffield has been charged with 19 sex offences which are said to have taken place at Hazelwood Children’s Home between 1981 and 1983. The offences relate to different victims and include indecent assault, gross indecency and possession of images.

The charges were made as part of Operation Equinox which is investigating allegations of historical abuse at children’s homes and other institutions in Nottinghamshire.

A Nottinghamshire Police spokesman said: “Operation Equinox is the force’s dedicated team investigating allegations of historical abuse of children at children’s homes and other institutions in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire”

Mr Robinson is due to attend at Court on the 12th December 2017.
