Trainee Solicitor

Trainee

Applications are invited for trainees to start in June 2025.  Initially as paralegal and upon successful completion of three months in the role, progress to start in September 2025 on either the Graduate Apprentice Solicitor route or if the trainee has completed the LPC, a Trainee Solicitor contract.

Who Should Apply?

In recruiting trainees we are looking to select our solicitors of the future. We therefore require committed and loyal trainees who are keen to build a successful career with us. We offer a broad-based training which gives early and increasing responsibility to trainees in a supportive environment.  Applicants must therefore be willing to be challenged from day one.

Ideally applicants will have a 2:1 degree but we do look beyond the degree. We are looking for trainees who are bright, articulate, creative, practical and hard working.

We take pride in our ability to build long term working relationships with clients. It is therefore essential that our trainees have the potential to be at ease with clients and be able to relate well to them. Interpersonal skills, a professional yet friendly manner and sound commercial awareness are some of the criteria we use to measure the suitability of applicants.

We do not just take on new graduates in their early twenties.  People from many professions convert to the law and find their previous experience is a real asset.
