The Court of Protection

The Court of Protection is a specialist Court that makes decisions for vulnerable adults who have been assessed as lacking capacity, under the Mental Capacity Act 2005. The Court will consider whether someone has capacity regarding a particular decision, make decisions in respect of accommodation, contact and medical treatment.
