Oxley Parker School was a privately run school which was open between 1972 and 1998. It was based in Colchester and catered for boys between the ages of 8 to 17 years.

Allegations have been made by former pupils of Oxley Parker School, which was run by the Eastern Counties Educational Trust, that they suffered physical and sexual abuse by staff members. One former staff member Jonathan Bridgewater was convicted of sexual offences against fomer pupils in the 1990’s and served a 10 year prison sentence.

Eastern Counties Educational Trust have launched a compensation sheme in response to the claims. The scheme was launched on the 1st June 2018 and will remain open until the 31st May 2020.
