Rosehill care home was operated by Manchester City Council and was investigated as part of ‘Operation Cleopatra‘ following allegations of sexual and physical abuse at the home between the 1950s and 1980s. Over 350 complaints of abuse were investigated by the police. Operation Cleopatra ended in 2002 having investigated 66 homes and prosecuted six men for the abuse of children in care. A number of victims have received compensation and further claims continue.
