St Francis Boys’ Home was a children’s home in Shefford, Bedfordshire. It was originally established as an orphanage for the children of the poor in 1868, and eventually closed in 1974. It was run by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Northampton. There have been a number of allegations of abuse at the home, both physical and sexual, which have resulted in a renewed police investigation by Bedfordshire Police.
