Whinmoor Children’s Home has been subject to allegations of sexual and physical abuse from the late 1960s to the early 1990s.
Whinmoor has recently been in the media as several members of staff have been charged as part of the West Yorkshire Police investigation ‘Operation Polymer’. Seymour Stephenson—Dall pleaded guilty to offences whilst two others face charges as a result of allegations of serious sexual abuse/assault from former residents of the home. Further members of staff are still being investigated.
