George Agar Shortlisted for Trainee Solicitor of the Year

We are extremely proud of our Trainee Solicitor George Agar, who is a finalist in this year's Yorkshire Legal Awards 2026!
George, who is in our Abuse Compensation Department has been shortlisted in the Trainee of the Year category.
This is wonderful recognition for George who has had an incredible year, leading on Eastwood Park Redress Scheme cases.
He has settled over 200 redress scheme claims for clients and demonstrates exceptionally high standards of client care.
George’s feedback from clients, colleagues and senior management is outstanding. Notably, his commitment to ensuring clients feel listened to, reassured and treated with dignity while progressing claims effectively.
That approach is reflected in both reviews and outcomes achieved. Clients have described George as making the process feel “as painless as possible” and praised the professionalism and support shown throughout their claims:
“I would like to sincerely thank you for your help and support throughout the Eastwood Park claim process. You have been there for me every step of the way, and I truly can't thank you enough. From our very first conversation regarding the compensation claim, you have been consistently helpful and professional. It is a pity that more law firms don't follow your example. I wanted to let you know how much I appreciate everything you have done. You have been fantastic throughout, and I felt it was important to share that with you.”
Jane Matthews, Head of Department stated that “George has shown excellent client care and organisational skills and always ensured that the client received the best settlement possible by going the extra mile for the client. I am sure that the scheme would not have achieved the success that it has without George’s dedication and hard work.”
The awards ceremony will take pace on Thursday 8th October 2026 in Leeds.
