If you have suffered sexual abuse or neglect as a child, then you could make a compensation claim.

In this area
If you are a survivor, or parent or guardian of a survivor of child abuse, you know the lifelong and far-reaching impact it can have.
Whilst nothing can change what has happened in the past, compensation can help you to take control of your life and get the justice you deserve. It can help you to move forward, seek any support you require and start to rebuild your life.
Our sexual abuse department is one of the most prominent in the country and has been instrumental in paving the way in this area of law.
Our lawyers are specialists trained in this area and have extensive experience in abuse compensation claims, having handled national cases on behalf of large groups against bodies such as social services and the church, sports organisations and detention centres, as well as representing many clients taking action against another individual.
At Jordans Solicitors we specialise in claims for redress schemes, non-recent abuse Claims, sexual abuse claims and claims against organisations.
We have the knowledge and experience to advise you on the available options for pursuing a claim and we have successfully represented the interests of abuse survivors nationally for over two decades.
We understand how difficult it can be for you to talk about the abuse you suffered during your childhood. That’s why our specially trained abuse solicitors work closely alongside psychologists and barristers to support you both emotionally and legally and you can be sure that your claim will be handled with the utmost levels of professionalism, sensitivity and understanding.
Get in touch with us on 033 0300 1103 or request a call back and we’ll be in touch to arrange a free, no obligation meeting with a member of the team. Alternatively, you can book an online appointment here.
Civil abuse compensation claims do not cover domestic abuse, however there are circumstances in which you may be able to make a claim through the CICA scheme. In order to make a CICA claim for domestic abuse you must have separated from your partner and be living separately.
If you are suffering from domestic abuse and need to apply for a Non-Molestation or Occupation Order, our family team can assist, see here for more information.

We believe that justice for survivors should be accessible no matter how long ago it happened. That’s why we fought for a landmark change in the law, which allows an abuse claim to be brought before a court regardless of when it took place.
Our Head of Department, Jane Matthews, is an accredited panel member of ACAL, and we work closely with many charities such as NAPAC, IDAS and Safeline to support those affected by abuse.
Jordans Solicitors have helped thousands of survivors of abuse nationally.
