Jordans announce sponsored partnership with Safeline for 2nd year

Safeline

Jordans Solicitors are delighted to announce their sponsored partnership with Safeline for a 2nd year, following a successful first year.

In 2025, Jordans Solicitors became an official sponsor of Safeline, a charity dedicated to supporting survivors of sexual violence. This sponsorship has played a vital role in sustaining essential services, and strengthening support for survivors through the  funding of a specialist ISVA (Independent Sexual Violence Advocate). The partnership also provides survivors with direct referral access to confidential, expert legal advice.

Through this partnership, Jordans Solicitors has helped over 40 Safeline clients to receive justice and acknowledgment and to claim compensation to help rebuild their lives.

Survivors such as one woman who had been abused by her dance teacher between the ages of 5 and 9. As an adult, she sought support and made a claim to the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA). After enduring  years of delays and intrusive requests for counselling records, she received a low initial offer of only £3,300 from CICA. Safeline referred her to Jordans Solicitors who identified gaps in the medical evidence considered by CICA, obtained updated psychological assessments diagnosing severe mental injury and recurrent depressive disorder, and pursued a loss of earnings claim after she became unfit to work. Within a year, the compensation award was increased to more than £50,000, which the client described as “life changing.”

The case highlights the importance of specialist legal representation in navigating the CICA process and securing fair compensation for survivors.

As part of the partnership, Jordans Solicitors has also provided free training and advice to ISVAs, provided direct access for legal advice and drop in-clinics, shared vital information across networks and funded a specialist ISVA within Safeline.

Jane Matthews, Head of Abuse Compensation Claims Department, said of the partnership;

Jordans has worked with Safeline for several years, however the partnership over the last 12 months has allowed for much greater support for survivors. We are incredibly proud to continue our partnership with Safeline, deepening our support for the vital work they do. In the last 12 months, we have worked together and combining our strengths, have made an even greater difference in the lives of survivors of abuse.

Safeline’s work impacts countless people, and we’re honoured to contribute to that mission. This partnership is centred on ensuring survivors have access to emotional support, practical assistance, and legal guidance at the moments they need it most.”

Tina Le Moal, Head of ISVA and ChISVA Services, Safeline, said of the partnership;

"I have worked in this space long enough to know that the right partners are rare. Jordans are one of them. From the moment a survivor connects with their team, they are met with compassion, patience and genuine choice. No pressure, no rushing, just honest guidance that puts the person at the centre of every decision. They sit with our clients, they explain their options, and then they let them decide. That is not standard practice in this sector, and it matters more than I can say.

Our ISVAs know that when they pick up the phone to Jordans with a question, they will get a straight answer that puts the client's best interests at the centre. Our ISVAs work alongside them and the confidence that brings to our clients speaks for itself. Our shared values is what makes this partnership work."
