Ten men aged between 49 and 71 have been arrested in Bradford over allegations of historic child sexual abuse. The abuse spanned between the period of 1994 and 1997 and were in relation to six survivors who were all aged between 13 and 15 at the time.

The men have been interviewed and bailed pending further enquiries.

Detective Chief Inspector Vicky Greenback of Bradford District Police has said ‘Safeguarding and protecting children remains the top priority for West Yorkshire Police.

‘Child sexual abuse and exploitation is an abhorrent and heinous crime and one which affects some of the most vulnerable people in our society.

This investigation demonstrates the force's ongoing commitment to the investigation of both current and non-recent sexual offences against children.

I would urge anyone who has been a victim of sexual abuse, whether recent or non-recent, to report it to the police.’

She has assured that anyone who will report any sexual abuse that they have suffered whether it be recent or non-recent, will be taken seriously and will be supported by professionals who are experienced in dealing with these kinds of offences.
