Lisa McGirr successfully completes Lifetime Care in Practice Award

The private client team at Jordans Solicitors are proud to announce that Deputy Head of Department, Lisa McGirr, has successfully completed the Lifetime Care in Practice Award with the Association of Lifetime Lawyers.
Lifetime Lawyers are recognised for their specialist expertise in supporting older and vulnerable people with legal advice. They help clients navigate important life decisions, delivering tailored guidance to people of all ages, including those with complex needs or who may require additional support.
As part of the award, Lifetime Lawyers receive training on conditions such as dementia, Parkinson's disease and other degenerative illnesses, alongside an awareness of the challenges associated with hearing loss, sight impairment and reduced mobility. Beyond legal expertise, members also receive specialist training to help them provide a compassionate and person-centred service, such as being able to adapt the way they communicate to meet individual needs, and considering when and where meetings take place to ensure clients feel comfortable and supported to make informed decisions.
Lisa commented “This achievement has strengthened my knowledge and understanding of the legal issues surrounding later life planning and supporting clients with care, compassion, and professionalism. I have learnt additional interpersonal soft skills which will help me to advise and support older and vulnerable clients.
I am looking forward to putting this learning into practice and continuing to provide the highest standard of advice and support to my clients.”
The Lifetime Lawyer quality mark provides reassurance that clients are working with a legal professional who has demonstrated specialist knowledge and a commitment to delivering high standards of care and advice throughout every stage of life.
